We also offer untreated moss varieties. However, these are less suitable for long-term use in moss walls or artworks. Living moss requires constant care and is more sensitive to environmental conditions. Our advice: use living moss only as seasonal decoration.

What affects the lifespan of a moss artwork?

With proper care, preserved moss remains beautiful for 10 to 20 years. The following factors can affect its lifespan:

• Touch: Frequent touching can damage the moss’s structure.
• Low humidity: If humidity drops below 30%, the moss may feel temporarily hard. It will soften again once the humidity rises.
• UV light: Prolonged exposure to sunlight may cause minor discoloration. This is completely normal and can be fixed by gently misting the moss with a little water.
